I am Dr. Tom DePaoli and I teach several courses Master’s in Management program. I was awarded the LCOOU Faculty of the year in 2023. I have written thirteen books available on amazon.com. Two of my books are on leadership. Leadership by Storytelling and Bogeyman Leadership.
Here is a little about me. I was an independent consultant with Apollo Solutions (www.apollosolutions.us) which does general business consulting in the human resources, supply chain, leadership (strengths-based) and lean six sigma areas. I retired from the US Navy as a Captain O-6. After 9/11, I spent over four years on active duty doing national security work and process improvement initiatives. I have visited over sixty countries. In my civilian careers, I was a supply chain, logistics and human resources executive with corporate purchasing turnaround experience and successful Lean Six Sigma deployments. I have worked for over ten major companies and consulted for over fifty organizations throughout my career. One of my passions is trying new things, innovations and technologies and teaching it to other people. I want my students to exceed me in capability! I have taught at the grade school, high school and university level. I have instructed at other universities since 2007. I take pride in my ability to help students better understand the subject matter by relating it to my experiences and stories. I want to see every student become successful ethical leaders and innovators.

Overall, my classroom philosophy is focused on providing students with practical, real-world skills and knowledge, fostering collaboration and communication, encouraging continuous improvement, and creating an engaging and enjoyable learning environment. I work hard to gain their trust. I value learning from my students, and I praise them when they enlighten me. Whether you are a student just starting out or a seasoned professional looking to enhance your skills, my classroom philosophy provides a solid foundation for success in today's fast-paced world. LCOOU is a great platform for this.
