A Message from Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University to Our Valued Friends

Aaniin and welcome to Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University. Over the past year, we have made significant strides in strengthening our institution. We have continued to grow our two master's degree programs – a Master of Business Management and a Master of Human Services with six graduates.

We have continued to foster alumni relations, with the addition of alumnus Roberto Pacheco, Annual Giving Specialist. It is through his efforts and establishing connections that we are able to connect our future alumni with our past. We are also proud to have recognized Danielle Grover as Alumni of the Year at the Fourth Annual Migiziwag Dayesaashijig Gala.

Our priority remains supporting our students, with that in mind, we hosted a ground blessing in September 2023 and ground breaking ceremony in June 2024 for single student dormitories. The completion of the dorms are August of 2025. We also launched two new student scholarship opportunities and provided over $15,000 in emergency aid to assist with expenses such as rent, childcare, utilities, auto repairs, and medical bills.

Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University Extension programming continues to offer many different Ojibwe traditional crafts, harvesting traditional foods and bringing in over 1300 Continuing Education Units in the spring of 2024.

We continue to reinvigorate our campus, creating vibrant spaces for students, faculty, staff, and community members to gather.
