I grew up on our family farm in Thorp and have spent most of my life in Wisconsin. A short time in South Dakota, and an even shorter time in Minnesota. I have spent time in technical sales positions, and much of my time in manufacturing - most of which in the maintenance realm.

Some of this came from my son, who when in his last semester of high school, made the decision to that he wanted to do something to help and serve others. He went on to be a firefighter/EMT and now as a paramedic, going back to school to become an RN. This instinct of his, a wanting for a change in my professional life, and the opportunity to have a position closer to home made LCOOU a good choice for me.

First of all, I enjoy spending time with my family, which is more special now with our first grandson. Even though it is my profession, I enjoy fixing all things, mechanical, electrical, most anything. My wife and I love Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands, and we spend as much time as we can there. Kayaking, boating, fishing, camping, local history and the magic that is Lake Superior.
