Dana Jorczak joined Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University (LCOOU) in January 2021 as an adjunct instructor, the following September she joined as faculty full-time. Her medical background started as a veterinary assistant that later moved to obtain her emergency medical technician license. After obtaining her Associate's degree in Nursing from LCOOU in 2013, her nursing career was focused on the emergency room, and medical-surgical floor and performing as the house supervisor, all while continuing to dabble in first responding and acting as a deputy coroner for the local community.

As a student, LCOOU was chosen based on the location. It was not long before the realization that it was a perfect fit! The instructors were sincere, engaging, and really cared about the success of each student. Class sizes were small, so students did not get lost or forgotten. Lastly, everyone at the college is so friendly and family oriented. When approached with the job opening, it was an opportunity that could not be passed up! It is an honor to be back at Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University and part of the team!
