Boozhoo boozhoo. My name is Niigaanii-Animikii Inini (Niigaanii for short), and I’m a Member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Having grown up in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, I traveled and lived around the world after I turned 18. Now I’m back in Anishinaabewaki with an increased appreciation of what gifts we Ojibwe have. I am very passionate about Anishinaabe language-culture and have a career in supporting Indigenous education and language revitalization.
I’m also an award-winning executive film producer, actor and voice actor.

I chose to study at LCOOU because I heard how strong the Ojibwe language classes were. Regardless of what you study, faculty and staff are here to support you to succeed.
